The HomeHero™ Fire Extinguisher is a gold winner in the 2007 International Design Excellence Awards, co-sponsored by Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) & BusinessWeek, and is exclusively available at The Home Depot™ in October 2007.

The new, revolutionary HomeHero™ Fire Extinguisher won the highest level of recognition in The International Design Excellence Awards for 2007 Consumer Products category.

The IDEA 2007 judging criteria is based on several factors such as design innovation, aesthetic appearance of the product, how the function and form will benefit the end user and other environmental and design considerations.

This new generation of fire extinguishers by HomeHero™ was recognized for its user-friendly design. It demonstrated how elegant style can enhance functionality to improve our home safety.

The concept originated from the Orange Works partnership between The Home Depot™ and Arnell Group. Orange Works brings together an interdisciplinary team of industry experts focused exclusively on the design and development of innovative products for home safety and improvement.

Orange Works is a seamless collaboration among product designers, engineers, marketing strategists, merchants, store associates, and vendor partners. Orange Works continues to build upon The Home Depot's strength and leadership in consumer home products that make living easier.
